Our new, more affordable, NIPT Test is a replacement for the now unavailable Harmony Test.
What is an NIPT Test?
The NIPT test, which stands for Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing, is a blood test that measures the baby’s DNA present in the mother’s blood to screen for specific chromosomal abnormalities.
NIPT Test is a safe blood draw from the mother by our qualified phlebotomists. The blood sample is then screened at our partner lab for chromosomal abnormalities: Downs Syndrome, Edwards Syndrome, & Patau Syndrome.
You can add a Dating Scan alongside your NIPT Test by selecting the Dating Scan option when booking.
How accurate is the NIPT Test?
Our partner lab reports that the NIPT Test shows >99% accuracy (≥99% sensitivity and specificity for trisomies 13, 18, 21).
How early can the NIPT Test be used?
Our partner lab reports that the NIPT Test can be used as early as 10 weeks gestation.
Who can take the NIPT Test?
The NIPT Test is for all pregnant women who are 10 weeks or over into their pregnancy.
NIPT Test with Dating Scan
Yes, you can add a Dating Scan to your NIPT Test when booking, just select the ‘Dating Scan’ service in the ‘Add to your appointment’ section.
NIPT Test extras
Yes, you can also add a ‘Sex Chromosome Panel’ and a ‘Sex Chromosome Panel/Gender’ to your NIPT Test when booking, just select the options in the ‘Add to your appointment’ section.

Our NIPT Test is powered by Illumina and is processed by Concepto labs in Watford, UK.

Why is the Harmony Test unavailable?
Our partner lab stopped processing Harmony Tests as of Autumn 2023 and we have replaced the Harmony Test at our partner lab with the NIPT Test.
Our new NIPT Test is more affordable than our previous Harmony Test service.

How much does NIPT Test cost?
Our NIPT Test service costs £233. You can view all our available times and book NIPT Test online on our booking system. We understand this is not a cheap NIPT Test service but we work to keep our fees as low as possible while striving for the highest levels of care and ensuring our trained, experienced medical professionals have a liveable wage.
