Babyvue: Pregnancy Due Date Calculator

If you want to plan ahead or have just found out you're pregnant, our Pregnancy Due Date Calculator gives you an estimation of when your baby is due.

Gathering information early helps make your pregnancy journey smoother. Use this tool to better understand your timeline — from when to book scans and appointments to when to prepare for maternity leave.

How is my estimated due date (EDD) calculated?

Our calculator uses the date of your last menstrual period (LMP) to estimate when your baby is most likely to be born. Simply enter the first day of your last period.

This tool assumes a standard 28-day cycle and is intended as a guide only. For the most accurate due date, consult your NHS GP, midwife, or healthcare professional.

Are there other ways to calculate my due date?

Yes — depending on how you became pregnant and how much information you have.

Scan

Your NHS dating scan (usually between 10–14 weeks) provides the most accurate due date by measuring the baby via ultrasound.

Conception Date*

Add 266 days to the known conception date (very accurate for IVF pregnancies).

Gestational Age*

Calculate how many weeks pregnant you are by counting days from your LMP to today.

How likely am I to give birth on my due date?

Only about 5% of babies are born on their exact due date. Around 90% of pregnancies last between 37 and 42 weeks.

How accurate are due date estimations?

Due dates are estimates. Factors like irregular cycles, ovulation timing, and individual baby growth all play a role. Your due date may be adjusted during your pregnancy based on scans and measurements.
