Before Your Scan
From the moment you arrive, our friendly reception team will make you feel right at home.
Relax in our private, air-conditioned waiting area, enjoy complimentary chocolates and chilled water, and browse our lovely selection of photo frames, heartbeat bears, and keepsake gifts — perfect for remembering your Babyvue experience.
During Your Scan
When it’s time for your appointment, your qualified sonographer will welcome you into our spacious family-friendly scan room. You’re very welcome to bring loved ones along — we have plenty of room for guests and children too.
With two large screens and a huge wall projector, everyone will get an amazing view of your baby in 4D.
Your sonographer will start with a basic well-being check, confirming your baby’s heartbeat, position, and movements. Then comes the exciting part — seeing your little one’s face and features in beautiful 4D HD detail.
Sometimes baby is camera-ready straight away, and sometimes we need a little cooperation! You may be asked to gently roll, lift your hips, or wiggle to help baby move into the perfect position.
Capturing the Moment
We’ll take both 4D video clips and still 3D images of your baby during your scan.
All your digital images and video clips are included at no extra cost and will be emailed directly to you, along with your personalised well-being report.
Depending on the scan package you’ve booked, you’ll also receive a selection of beautiful keepsakes to take home — such as colour photo prints, a magnetic photo frame, or a pair of adorable baby booties. Each package is designed to give you lasting memories of your Babyvue experience.
After Your Scan
At reception, you’ll have the option to purchase extra photo prints, keyrings, or framed keepsakes to make the memories last even longer.
Before you leave, you’ll receive a free gift and a unique password to access your scan images, videos, and report securely online.

What is the difference between 3D and 4D ultrasound?
A still image is 3D and a video clip is 4D the 4th dimension is time.

Do you offer a free rescan if we don’t get 4D images of baby's face?
Yes, if we can not get 4D images of your baby’s face we will offer one free rescan.

Can I bring my children with me to my scan?
Yes, children are welcome.

What is the difference between the classic 4D and the deluxe 4D package?
The classic 4D is in normal 4D (yellow images) and the deluxe 4D is in HD (high definition with pink tone). The classic 4D only includes 1 colour print from the ultrasound machine. The deluxe scan is also slightly longer than the classic 4D scan.

Can I have a 4D scan if I do not want to know my baby's gender?
Yes, that’s no problem just make sure you let the sonographer know that you do not want to know the gender and they will keep that secret.

How long will my appointment take?
This really depends if baby is in a good position or not. If baby is in a good position you should expect to be in the clinic for about 20mins however if baby is not in a great position we may send you for a walk to encourage baby to move and this could mean that you are in the clinic for around an hour.

Do I need to have a full bladder?
No, but we recommend that you do not empty your bladder just before the scan because if the baby isn’t in a good position the sonographer will send you to the toilet to empty your bladder as this can sometimes help encourage baby to move.

When do recommend coming for a 4D scan?
We recommend coming at 28 weeks. The further along you are the more defined baby’s features will be and the more they will look like what they look like when they are born however as the pregnancy progresses there is naturally less room and less amniotic fluid so it makes it more difficult to get a clear image of babys face as it is more likely to be pressed against the walls of the womb.

Does the classic 4D include measurements of the baby?
No, our 4D scans do not include growth measurements however you can add these on as an extra if you choose.

Do you have parking?
There is plenty of free parking on the road outside the clinic. There are parking restrictions on the yellow lines between 11am – 12noon on weekdays on some roads however you should still be able to find a park at these times further down Allington Road with a short walk of 2-3mins at the most.

How much does Classic 4D Scan Package cost?
Our Classic 4D Scan Package service costs £104. You can view all our available times and book Classic 4D Scan Package online on our booking system. We understand this is not a cheap Classic 4D Scan Package service but we work to keep our fees as low as possible while striving for the highest levels of care and ensuring our trained, experienced medical professionals have a liveable wage.
